I made quarantine cards

Store this one under miscellaneous quarantine projects I did… 😜

I love physical cards and getting mail - especially if it’s in your handwriting - kills me! With all the endless modes of digital communication these days - the simplicity of a card is so wholesome and satisfying to me. Every aspect of my work is digital nowadays so the nostalgia of a simple card or letter is pretty romanticized in my head.

For Valentines Day every year, I make hand-made cards (I call them love cards) and drop them around the city. On the bus, on the train, at a coffee shop, on a park bench - could be anywhere. In them I write a bunch of sweet nothings - just a little V day pick me up.

The idea of someone having a bad day and then finding a little envelope saying “read me” and smiling at one of them gives me a little high. These cards are super lo-fi, glue, scissors, glitter — I really let myself play around and have fun with them.

ANYWAYS — point is, I love cards and so I decided to do something similar during Covid & all the political unrest. However, I decided that this years cards would be digital only because no one wants my saliva on their envelope during a pandemic. Nevertheless…

If you want a card - request your favorite color and I’ll happily send you one 😗
