The UX of Motherhood
I’ve been quiet for a while, learning how to exist inside a brand-new version of life.
Over the past year and some change, I’ve been pregnant, had a baby, and experienced the most amazing, overwhelming, all-encompassing chapter of my life. Becoming a mother has cracked me open in ways I’m still trying to understand. My daughter just turned one, and I finally feel like I’m coming up for air — catching a breath, taking inventory, and slowly reconnecting with the parts of myself that make me me.
As I re-enter this creative space, I’ve started a new newsletter called The UX of Motherhood. It’s a place where I’m thinking out loud about what it means to design, parent, and make sense of life with a baby — all at once. It’s about the weird overlaps between my design brain and my mom brain, the tiny hacks that help things run smoother, and the moments that feel impossible to map but matter the most.
More formally, The UX of Motherhood is a newsletter about the invisible work of care, the visible artifacts of design, and the fuzzy interface where parenting happens. Also look forward to: nap-resistant users, nonlinear workflows, and AI tools that might buy you five minutes.
I’ll still be posting here now and then, but most of my energy will be focused on the newsletter. I’d love for you to check it out — subscribe, share, or just follow along!
